We traveled to Cabo San Lucas and the surrounding area with our good friends Jeff and Beverly.

Here is a picture of Adelina and Bev on the steps of our hotel front entryway. We visited Cabo between Christmas and New Year, so you can see the Christmas decorations at the hotel, the Wyndom.

20.jpg After check-in, the four of us; Bill and Adelina, and our friends Jeff and Beverly, enjoyed a nice evenings dinner and drinks at the Wyndom hotel outside cafe restaurant by the pool.

Local artists showing their wares in the background.

30.jpg During our dinner at our hotel on our first evening after check-in, we were treated to a beautiful sunset! The Lord turning the world into a wondeful canvas...

40.jpg We had a rental car during our visit and was able to travel around the local area seeing the sights. Here we are headed for the bay area of Cabo San Lucas itself, instead of the beachfront area at the southern tip of Baja California, where our hotel is.

We stopped along the way to Cabo to check out a little beach in the area that is popular. This was a wonderful little beach area, surrounded on three sides by land, making the water less rough than the open sea, and thus, a popular beach spot with the locals and tourists.

50.jpg We have arrived at the marina area of Cabo San Lucas. Very popular spot. Lots of shops, boats, people.

60.jpg We enjoy a nice lunch at a local (Mexican) restuarant, the Crazy Lobster. Adelina had a chance to turn herself into a lobster, but without the sunburn, at a restuarant poster.

70.jpg Now this looks a little weird, strange, and maybe gross. What we have here is a foot bucket, like when you get a pedicure. However, you don't get a person working on your feet, but FISH working on your feet. These little guys eat dead skin, and the treatment, while a little hard to adjust too at first, promises to clean your feet of dead skin, calluses, corns, etc.

In this picture, you have Bill taking a pic of his feet receiving such treatment from the fish. The feeling is that the fish kind of tickle a little bit. I had my feet worked on for about 15 minutes and they did a GREAT JOB in removing calluses and making my feet feel smooth.

Worth doing if you have the huevos.. and I don't mean eggs.

80.jpg The four of us took a boat cruise (drinks, music, dancing) around the Cabo's area, to the area at the tip of Baja California, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.

In the marina there are a few pirate ships that take tourists (mostly families with kids) on pirate ship adventures. Here is one sailing out to sea.

90.jpg Here is another pirate ship heading back from swashbuckling plunder!

100.jpg Here we are sailing out of Cabo San Lucas harbor on a tour boat of music, dancing, and drinks, to see the Cabo sea sites. Adelina poses for a nice pic on the ship.

110.jpg A selfie of Adelina and Bill on the deck of a large tour boat in Cabo San Lucas. The cliffs in the background are part of the area near the tip of Baja California.

120.jpg Here, Adelina poses with the very popularly photographed cliffs and rocks of Cabo San Lucas, at the tip of Baja Califonia, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. The rock "hole" is a very popular spot in the area.

130.jpg Onboard our tour ship, viewing popular cliffs and land sites. We also have a chance to view a wonderful sunset from the sea. Here we catch the sun just leaving the horizon. Beautiful!

140.jpg Once back on land from our cruise of the cliffs and areas of Cabo San Lucas, we take in the Cabo San Lucas area at night with a selfie.

150.jpg After our day at Cabo San Lucas, we are now relaxing pool-side at our hotel. Here are Bill's beautiful legs and view while relaxing. The Wyndom resort has a great and large pool area and plenty of chairs and areas to relax. Also access to the beach.

160.jpg Ahhh.. Lunch time at our Wyndom resort. Including a cool brew that Jeff is showing off (and drinking).

170.jpg The Cabo resort area near the coast, at the bottom of Baja California, has a very nice city center area with a large open area for locals and tourists. Shops and restaurants are all around the parimeter. At one end is a beautiful local Catholic Church.

170.jpg View inside the church. Very nice.

178.jpg This is a plaque outside the church pictured above, that gives us information on the church, it's founding, etc.

180.jpg Also in the main city square area of Cabo is a huge Christmas tree (we are visiting on 12/27). Very nice tree and decorations.

185.jpg Here is the Christmas tree at night, all lit up and lovely.

188.jpg View of the Cabo city center square at night. Lot's of people visiting the special sights during the Christmas season. Also, many vendors coming out at night with kiosk's selling food and wares in the warm evening.

190.jpg In the Cabo city square, at Christmas time, is a very nice nativity scene. A real pleasure and joy to see.

200.jpg Dinner time in Cabo. We visit a nice restuarant in town and have wondeful Mexican food (what else?). Cheers!

210.jpg Having dinner in Cabo. Had the opportunity to take a special picture of Adelina through a wine glass. Nice!

220.jpg One night we went to a Circ du Soleil type show in Cabo. It's a story about the ancient poeples of the area around Cabo, and their search for enlightment. Lot's of lights and dancing. A very nice, outdoor show. The weather was great. But the seats had blankets for use as the evening cooled own. A blanket during the show was perfect.

A wonderful show and we highly recommend it, if you're in the area for a few nights. The show venue is not far from the main resort hotel area. We drove, since we had a rental car, but a taxi wouldn't cost that much either.

230.jpg Another pic of the Circ du Soleil show noted above. Very nice color, lighting, and dancing. A first class show. Not terribly expensive. Around $50-$75 per person. Drinks are extra.

240.jpg Cast of the Circ du Soleil show noted above in Cabo. Friendly staff. Very professional. Very good. Highly recommend the show (only one in area, can't miss it if you ask at the hotel Concierge's).

250.jpg We leave on this day to go to Todos Santos. Todos Santos is a town up the west coast of Baja California, north of Cabo San Lucas. Along the way, we stop for a visit at a small, out of the way, local beach. Doubtful many tourits know this place. There is one little hotel here and a quiet, not well attended beach area.

Here Adelina checks out the beach, water, and surf.

260.jpg At a little private beach we stop by on way to Cabo to Todos Santos, we see a very cute little chapel in the area. Not completly sure of the chapel's purpose, as there isn't a town within 20 miles. So this chapel might be the church for the local residents.

270.jpg We visit the little chapel on a secluded beach that we find on route from Cabo to Todos Santos. Here Adelina and Bev pose in front of chapel for a nice pic.

280.jpg Here is a pic inside the little chapel of the chapel, Adelina and Bev. The chapel is just about the size that the picture implies. Very small but very simple and very nice. A real blessing to visit.

290.jpg Here we are in the little seaside town of Todos Santos, along the west coast of Baja California, about 20 miles north of Cabo San Lucas. These colorful settings are part of their Christmas celebrations. We were fortunate to be able to visit during this time.

300.jpg Mexico, being a very Catholic country, as a Catholic church at just about every town. Here is a nice one near one of the main roads through the town of Todos Santos. Nice!

310.jpg View inside the church referenced above. Very nice place. Was a pleasure to visit.

320.jpg A plaque outside the church which is pictured above, describing the church, when it was founded, and historical information about it.

330.jpg Nice picture of Adelina at the Todos Santos town square. Nice pic! Nice company! Nice town!

340.jpg At the Todos Santos town square. Plaque describing information about the town, it's history, etc. Very nice that towns and main buildings have these plaque's to help vistors understand and appreciate the history of Mexico and it's various locals.

350.jpg Ahh.. Now here we have the most well know place in Todo's Santos.. and the REAL reason we took a drive to see the town.. The ORIGINAL Hotel California. We are told that it was THIS hotel that was the impetus for the Eagles when they wrote the song Hotel California.

Fortunetly, we had a great lunch and drinks there, but didn't check-in. Thus, there was no need to check-out, at that time, or anytime. And as a result, we were able to leave...

360.jpg Pic of one of the views inside the lobby of the Hotel California. This sculpture looks like it's related to a hope of safe passage through the sea for children by the gods of the sea.

370.jpg Now just outside and at a local beach area of Todos Santos is a state sponsored sea turtle project, where sea turtles are bred and released. It's purpose is to maintain the sea turtle population, which has been declining.

One of our company, Bev, was really into the sea turtles and volunteered to carry a bucket of a few babies (there were several buckets) to the beach for release.

380.jpg A close-up of Beverly with a bucket of three or so baby sea turtles that she is ready to release to the beach. These little guys jet to the water and the sea carries them away to live happily every after.

390.jpg Close-up of Beverly's sea turtle bucket, with one of the little guys cruising on top, awaiting release to the sea.

Interesting thing about these little guys. Even in a bucket, where they can't see the ocean directly, they try to leave the bucket on the side of the bucket facing the ocean.

Here is a video of the turtles leaving the buckets and jetting to the ocean. They move quickly and know just where to go. Sooner or later, the waves reach them, and when the water recedes, the turtles are gone.
